Training & Coaching
In an age of constant change and uncertainty, growing challenges and expectations in the workplace can be a demanding place for workers. We believe the cornerstone of good business is understanding that your workforce population is a group of individuals who are up against a complex interplay of pressure from all directions, in relationships, in meeting your expectations, in processes and in their personal experience of internal and external adverse events. Thus the solution to helping them cope is to help them develop emotional intelligence to tackle life’s pressure in a resilient and meaningful way. We believe this will optimise their physical and emotional health. We want to help leaders and managers to understand the factors that influence good and bad health outcomes in your organisation.
Our specialist area is exploring the concepts that make ‘good work’ and helping our clients create more of it. Our aspiration is to work with organisations who want to improve the employer-employee relationship and who are looking to find ways of making work more meaningful and purposeful and where both parties' essential needs are met; where there are sufficient areas of common interest and an employment relationship emerges sustained by what each believes of the other and where the psychological contract of interdependency is a fundamental component of the employment relationship. (The Good Work Commission, July 2011). Evidence tells us that management intervention should be focused on job enrichment, recognition, empowering personnel and promoting personal resilience.
Building resilience helps your workers access the knowledge, life skills and coping strategies they already possess but simply haven’t learned to use effectively.
Learning resilience skills can move individuals from feeling paralysed by a pressurised environment to coping effectively with a challenging workload, role, or even with an emotional problem. We understand It is important to maximise attendance by creating an environment where people are encouraged and motivated to come to work – by making your organisation a great place to work and we have the tools to support people to return to work but imagine what it would be like if we could prevent people going off in the first place – what a positive impact this would have on the employee experience.
